We will begin the day by picking you up early in the morning and embarking on a scenic drive lasting approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the designated starting point, we will commence our ATV journey toward the renowned Rainbow Mountain. During this exhilarating tour, you will traverse strikingly colorful landscapes, with panoramic views of the vibrant mountains that define the region’s natural beauty. Along the route, you will also have the opportunity to observe native wildlife, including llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat. Moreover, by utilizing ATVs, you will reach key viewpoints ahead of the majority of hikers, allowing for a more serene and unspoiled experience.
Highlight of the Day: Discover the Rainbow Mountain on an ATV.
We will begin our journey by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 3:00 a.m. From there, we will embark on a scenic drive of about three hours to the town of Kairawiri, where our ATV adventure will commence. Upon our arrival around 6:00 a.m., we will enjoy a hearty breakfast to energize ourselves for the day ahead. Following breakfast, we will proceed to the designated training area, where our experienced guide will provide thorough instructions on how to operate the ATVs safely and effectively.
Once everyone is prepared, we will begin our ATV expedition toward the final stop, a ride that will take approximately 30 minutes. Along the route, you will have the opportunity to witness llamas and alpacas grazing freely in their natural habitat, as well as catch glimpses of the majestic Ausangate mountain in the distance, along with the strikingly colorful landscapes that characterize this region.
At around 8:00 a.m., we will dismount from the ATVs and undertake a short five-minute hike to reach the summit of Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca. As some of the first visitors of the day, you will enjoy a tranquil and uncrowded experience at the viewpoint, allowing ample time—approximately 30 minutes—to take stunning photographs and absorb the breathtaking scenery.
Following our time at the summit, we will descend the trail—another five-minute walk—to return to the ATVs and begin our ride back to the original starting point. Between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., we will drive to the community of Ttio, where a delicious lunch will be served. After lunch, we will continue our journey back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., where you will be dropped off, concluding our adventure.

How To Book The Rainbow Mountain Atv Tour?
In order to book your Rainbow Mountain Atv Tour with us, you need to click on the BOOK NOW button above, then select the day of your departure, then, fill out all your personal information of each participant and the last step is the payment of your deposit of $95 per person. Once we receive your deposit, we will send a confirmation to your email. So your trip to Rainbow Mountain is 100% confirmed.
How Long I m Allowed To Stay In Rainbow Mountain?
We are restricted to giving you 40 minutes at the top of Rainbow Mountain because the quad bikes are not owned by us; we rent them from the local community, and this is their rule. This limitation is why we allocate only 40 minutes for you to enjoy the views and take pictures. If we owned the ATVs, we would allow you as much time as you wanted without rushing. We aspire to purchase our own quad bikes, but the community has agreed that no travel agencies can buy ATVs as it is their business.
What Time Do I Get The Rainbow Mountain?
We will get to the RAinbow Mountain in at 08:00 rougly with atv tours.
When Should I Pay The Outstanding Balance?
Your remaining balance can be made in cash at our office in Cusco 2 days in advance your trip in USD or soles or if you prefer Credit Card at least one week prior to your trip(a 6% service fee applies). It is better to pay us with cash because there is not any transaction fee. Please let us know what you prefer.
Is The Any Student Discount?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a student discount for our Rainbow Mountain atv tour.

It is not mandatory to bring your Passport. But if you want to have a stamp on it, bring it. The stamp on your Passport costs 2 soles.
Can I Stay In The Sacred Valley For My Rainbow Mountain Atv Tour?
Not, because our Rainbow Mountain atv tour groups leave from Cusco. If you stay in the sacred valley, we can take you in private service and there will be an upgrade of $40 for the transport from the sacred valley.
Whe Is The Best Time To Hike The Rainbow Mountain?
The best time to visit Rainbow Mountain is between April and November, coinciding with the dry season. In contrast, the months from December to March constitute the rainy season, the the trail may be muddy, wet and the Mountain might be covered with snow and misty.
Is It Cold At The Rainbow Mountain?
Typically, during breakfast hours, the morning tends to be chilly, often reaching temperatures below freezing. As the sun rises, the weather tends to become milder. At higher elevations, such as the mountain top, conditions are cold and windy, with temperatures ranging between 5-15°C (40-60°F). In overcast and rainy conditions, the temperature typically falls within the range of 0-10°C (32-50°F). For an optimal experience, the recommended months to visit Rainbow Mountain are from April to November.
If One Experiences Altitude Sickness, What Do You Do?
Our guide carries an oximeter to monitor your oxygen levels. If your levels are low, we provide an oxygen tank for you. If there is no improvement, we will promptly move you to a lower altitude.
