5:30am – 6:00am, Depart Lima – we pick up directly fromyour hotel (San Isidro and Miraflores) for safety and comfort. If staying in an Airbnb just email us. Your booking confirmation will show you your exact pick-up time (depends on where you are staying!)
6:00am – 9:40am, Tourist Transport to Paracas. This is ideal for relaxing on the journey to Paracas. All buses have USB ports. Note that other tour companies mainly use public to save on costs.
10:00am – 12:00pm, Ballestas Islands – 2 hour boat tour of the islands. The Ballestas are a smaller version of the Galapagos, and just as great. You’ll see sea lions, penguins and lots of birds all in there natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you may even see a dolphin or three!
12:00pm, Depart for the Ica Vineyard.Pisco Vineyard Tour – see how Pisco, Peru’s national drink, is made from the grape to the bottle and try lots of free samples.We will enjoy the atmosphere of the wine winery and have time for photos, lunch, and shopping.
3:00pm – 4:30pm, Arrive in Huacachina Oasis + fune Buggy Ride and Sandboarding (optional) – Hold on tight during your Dune Buggy Ride across the incredible Dunes giving you spectacular views of the Oasis. Sandboards are also includPacha ed for those who wish to Sandboard down the largest dunes in South America.
6:00pm – 10:30pm, You will be dropped off your accommodation back in Lima, tired but happy after an amazing experience!

Most people automatically assume that the weather is hot in South America, but due to the higher altitude of the Andes, the temperature can be quite cold, especially at night. We recommend using a duffel bag or backpack, whichever is easiest for you to carry. A good-sized backpack between 20 and 30 liters is also essential.

Our day tour is perfect for ALL types of travelers who are looking to maximize their time in Lima and see some of the most amazing sights in Peru in a short period of time.
65% of our passengers are female, the average passenger age is 31, and we have had people as old as 83, with plenty of families too!
Note: For the Dune Buggy activity, children under 7 or pregnant women are not permitted on the buggy. For the Ballestas Islands, it’s suitable for ages 1 and up.
Why is Pacha Peru Explorers better than trying to do it myself?
Simply put, it is very hard to do this itinerary by yourself without Pacha Peru Explorers. Public buses do NOT go to Huacachina, they only go as far as Ica, so you would have to then arrange separate transport to and from Ica. As well as this, you would also have to coordinate getting to the bus terminals and from the bus terminals on your late return to Lima.
As well as all of this, Pacha Peru Explorers offers a local onboard Travel Assistant fluent in English who you will simply love and Pacha Peru Explorers is a great way to meet people from all over the world.
