We begin our experience at the iconic Love Park, a romantic space with a spectacular ocean view, where you can admire the famous statue of a couple kissing in the heart of the park, a symbol of eternal love.
Next, we head to the fascinating Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Columbian archaeological site that we will visit from the outside, where you can appreciate its imposing adobe pyramids and learn a little more about ancient Lima.

Most people automatically assume that the weather is hot in South America, but due to the higher altitude of the Andes, the temperature can be quite cold, especially at night. We recommend using a duffel bag or backpack, whichever is easiest for you to carry. A good-sized backpack between 20 and 30 liters is also essential.

What type of travelers take this tour?
Our day tour is perfect for ALL types of travelers who are looking to maximize their time in Lima and see some of the most amazing sights in Peru in a short period of time.
65% of our passengers are female, the average passenger age is 31, and we have had people as old as 83, with plenty of families too!
Note: For the Dune Buggy activity, children under 7 or pregnant women are not permitted on the buggy. For the Ballestas Islands, it’s suitable for ages 1 and up.
Why is Pacha Peru Explorers better than trying to do it myself?
Simply put, it is very hard to do this itinerary by yourself without Pacha Peru Explorers. Public buses do NOT go to Huacachina, they only go as far as Ica, so you would have to then arrange separate transport to and from Ica. As well as this, you would also have to coordinate getting to the bus terminals and from the bus terminals on your late return to Lima.
As well as all of this, Pacha Peru Explorers offers a local onboard Travel Assistant fluent in English who you will simply love and Pacha Peru Explorers is a great way to meet people from all over the world.

By taking you to places most tourists don’t know about, you are helping local communities who often live below the poverty line to have a source of income. Simply buying some breakfast snacks or a water here or there really helps these communities.
As well as this, 95% of our staff are young Peruvians and we pay more than other travel and bus companies. They often use their salaries to help their families (here in Peru it is common kids, parents and grandparents to all live in the same small house).
Remember, most tourists either fly with billion dollar airlines or go on public buses owned by millionaires and make no stops between stops and don’t benefit local communities.
